Left in a highly-eccentric orbit, this piece of interstage fairing was originally meant to gradually return and be destroyed after multiple pass through Kerbin's upper atmosphere. However improper calculations in the burn that took the Mun III Rescue Vehicle off to Mun left this pieces's periapsis outside of the atmosphere
