Deuce Prototype Flights (5/6/18)
In the time it was in service during design and testing the aircraft was rebuilt two times, once from scratch. The total hours flown between the two totals to 15.2 hours over a distance of 6,097km. It has been retired to Kravass Air History Museum to be exhibited next to the original Civvie prototype
Mounted for Action (5/7/18)
The 4th flight of the Progeny Mk6 Block I stands ready to depart from the launch pad, heading even further south in a continued exploration of the region of hazardous radiation above our planet
Unfavorable Launch Weather (5/8/18)
Cloud decks are around 2.8km and we need clear skies up to 3km so the Range Safety Officer can confirm good trajectory on launch. It's close, but we don't fudge our launch commit criteria, instead choosing to wait and hope for the clouds to pass
Progeny Mk6 Block I No.4 (5/8/18)
Heading up into partly cloudy skies after having to wait for better conditions due to low cloud cover, the fourth flight of the Mk6-I was able to make it to space and back, possibly finding the edge to the hazardous radiation zone over the planet
Taxiing Out into the Dawn (5/9/18)
The Deuce heads out to the runway under control of Captain Jebediah with Commander Valentina residing in the right seat to manage comms and oversee navigation. A tied-down Civvie rests in the foreground. Moho and Dres are visible above the horizon. Should be obvious which is which
Gap in The Wall (5/9/18)
Captain Jebediah pilots a Deuce aircraft, with Commander Valentina in the right seat on comms/navigation, towards a passage through the mountain range north of KSC along which the caverns of Kravass reside
Clouds + Aurora (5/10/18)
Commander Valentina takes a photo from her seat in the Deuce cockpit as she and Captain Jebediah fly under the northern aurora on their mission to measure the higher-than-normal radiation found in this region, right underneath where the aurora are seen. Coincidence? Scientists think not
Shortcut (5/10/18)
What appears to be an impenetrable wall of mountains at this altitude is in fact navigable without having to climb higher thanks to a blind pass around the rear
Late Landing (5/10/18)
The sun already behind the mountains, the Deuce's landing lights are barely enough to illuminate the runway as it makes its final approach to land after an all-day mission to the northern ice caps
Deuce Final Design (5/11/18)
Sporting new engines designed from the ground up for aircraft flight, the aircraft has reached its final design stage. The only other real difference between this and the previous design is the tail is not given any dihedral pitch
