several things to detail this past week - overall ops are running smooth. Rocket builds are on schedule & so is launch pad repair. R&D is quiet but that's also good in its own way. Anything you feel you might have missed can be found in our Ops Summary: kerbalspace.agency/?p=10089

Genesis program & Kerbin Weather Service have hashed out the contract terms for weather analysis flights the Deuce can undertake. Console adjustments have been made based on Bill's feedback from the last mission & Lead Scientist Cheranne has a KWS meteorologist training to use it

weather desk has been given notice of a storm over the eastern Kerblantic. Genesis is scrambling the Deuce for a weather flight mission, as per contract negotiations. Due to the understandably unplanned nature of storms, we are now ready to go 7 days a week as needed

flight crew is reporting to the aircraft for preflight as ground crew finishes prepping it with fuel & power. Val & Jeb will be up front while Katgan, our new resident meteorologist from the Kerbin Weather Service, will be using her console in the cabin to direct the flight

the night air is calm as second sunrise approaches & after Jeb radioed in for taxi/takeoff clearance from runway 09 Val took the aircraft out. Climbing out now, they will continue pretty much straight east as they head for the horizon

Jeb signed off a few mins ago and sent back this photo of the coming sunrise just before the aircraft fell below the horizon and out of contact. ~350km to the last reported location of the storm will see them there in ~50min. They should be back within 3hrs

Val has made contact as Jeb flies them back, switching roles to ensure fatigue is not an issue. Vectors to KSC have been provided for a pattern approach to Rwy09. Val says Katgan is most pleased with the performance of the aircraft and instruments

no issues on approach, Deuce is rolling out down the runway after a smooth landing. After taxiing back in the weather data will be offloaded & sent to the KWS for further analysis. We'll also have Kat use the data to see if the storm poses a threat to this week's launch recovery

photo from the belly cam on today's flight as the aircraft flew over the low-pressure system @ 6km, just before the crew dove in to begin "slicing" it up and collecting data from various altitudes and flight angles from its edges through the center (did you spot Minmus?)
