high-altitude KB crew have departed via land vehicles for the cold northern release point of bit.ly/Site_LP-Z23L. Lead Scientist Cheranne, always eager to get out in the field, flew out over the weekend to join them. Safe travels!

rolling back into the Kongo base, the high-altitude KB crew along with Lead Scientist Cherrane and her field team report a good release & recovery although they did suffer mechanical issues with their vehicles that were thankfully able to be repaired with spare parts on hand

happy with the initial results, Lead Scientist Cheranne is eager to return next year to release several more balloons since as they drift about, the rate at which rads increase by altitude should change slightly depending on their location, to form a more complete data set
