yes we've been missing two UTVs needed for safe land traversals but they were a New Years gift to the KerBalloon program. We must have forgot to mention it over the operational break twitter.com/Bookz2232/statβ¦

low-altitude KerBalloon crew took care of their overland journey to bit.ly/Site_V817DW earlier today. Unless they encountered some trouble they should have reached their release point within 5 hours and will likely send their balloon up tomorrow & return the same day

rolling back into KSC, the low-altitude KerBalloon team reports no issues on the drive there & back but did have an unusually difficult time getting the balloon inflated. We're sending the recovered casing back to the manufacturer for tests

KerBalloon manufacturer has determined the damaged casing came as a result of inadequate securing of the balloon while traversing rough terrain. Given that this has never been an issue before, we don't accept all the blame but agree to review our UTV loading procedures
