Bill and Bob set sail earlier today with a KerBalloon crew aboard MSV Lymun to head for bit.ly/Zone_60P-5X 723km away down in the southern sea, where they will release a low-altitude balloon tomorrow to measure air temperatures

MSV Lymun has just limped back into port after encountering a horrible storm in the southern sea. Three crew members were lost overboard working the deck, engines are damaged & Bill is suffering such horrible sea sickness he can't even stand up, was stretchered off the ship

after a day of rest & recovery Bill says he's feeling much better. He and Bob will head out again with MSV Lymun after it is repaired next week and hope for better weather this time

[L-1h30m] pre-flight operations are wrapping up, now time to look externally and ensure the range is clear once MSV Hoodall assists in the weather balloon release. MSV Tongjess left late yesterday to be in position 325km downrange for recovery, Lymun still in dry dock

KerBalloon crew have returned to port without a payload. Seas were too rough for recovery before it took on too much water and sank, but they were able to gather some data remotely as it traveled aloft to negotiate a partial payment on the contract
