low-altitude KerBalloon team has a new contract signed for next week over the northern ice shelf. CFO Mortimer had negotiations for a high-altitude short-notice contract fall through when the airship we had chartered had to undergo sudden "maintenance" (we suspect Barons trying to mess with us)

low-altitude KerBalloon team have departed Umbarg aboard the research ship they are sharing with a polar expedition. They have the UTVs aboard and Specialist Bill helped equip them for cold weather as they expect to recover the balloon off the ice shelf

although they had to fight through nasty storms both ways, weather over the release site was favorable and the low-altitude KerBalloon crew have just made it safely back to port in Umbarg. Here is the balloon release off the deck with the cliffs of the ice shelf in the distance
