Val is back in the cockpit getting ready to start up the engine for today's second phase of ground trials. Data so far pleases C7 engineers

Val has taxiied down to the turf next to the runway & will start with a half-throttle run-up to takeoff speed down the length of the runway

success - speed reached 50+ m/s just before end of the runway, Val reported some bounciness as the plane tried to take off. Not yet!

Val will taxi back then do a full-throttle runup. This is all done to the west so any run off doesn't lead down to the beach & water 😛

Val is taxiing back in after another successful takeoff run, says it was "exhilarating" to be traveling so fast along the ground

C7 will be spending the rest of the week going over data & checking over the Civvie closely in the HAB before authorizing a flight test
