the low-altitude KerBalloon team have set out for bit.ly/Area_51KL2, about 233km of traversal that will take them roughly 5-6 hours to complete over two day cycles. They are geared up and ready to mountain climb if needed to retrieve the payload

earlier today during launch prep we got a short connection to the low-altitude KerBalloon as it reached maximum altitude and drifted just barely within sight of KSC. Good to know the crew had a nominal release. They should be back tomorrow after recovering it

an airship flying from Sheltered Rock to Umbarg responded to a distress beacon from our low-altitude KerBalloon team. A crew member needed a medevac for injuries sustained in a fall from a cliff while recovering the payload - thankfully not life-threatening

low-altitude KerBalloon team have rolled back into KSC, minus their one crew member who is recovering well in Umbarg. They admit that the payload really wasn't in that bad of a spot - just goes to show that even the simple tasks can get you sometimes
