contracts signed for both crews of bit.ly/KerBalloonProg… will be carried out this month into next. As Mortimer expected, income has fallen due to the increasing length of missions. Hopefully soon some local opportunities will be available again

SGQ-958(C) is confirmed to be entering our atmosphere in a few days over the western edge of the Great Desert. It will be ~200km from where the low-altitude KerBalloon crew will be operating so we don't expect they will be in danger, but they were warned before departure

low-altitude KerBalloon crew have returned from a successful mission with no report of being directly affected by an asteroid impact. They did note the sky took on a reddish tinge from dust however as they were leaving so it seems there was an impact

one day we'll have spacecraft in orbit that can confirm such events, either directly or by their after-effects. In this case, the dust will likely fall into the ocean and create a super bloom of microscopic plant life feeding off the nutrients within it. Ain't life amazing?

we are all still reeling from the events of yesterday. Aldeny will be a sorely missed ray of sunshine around campus - his energetic personality could motivate anyone. Altho it's hard, we must push on in his memory. Our Ops Summary has details on that: kerbalspace.agency/?p=9083
