| Even before the asteroid impact, fixed-wing flight was still a dream that few kerbals dared go for, many dying in their attempts. Airships have served Kerbin well in the centuries since but while rockets will get us to space soon, looking to the far future planes would make a good second option. The Genesis Program is our first foray into fixed-wing flight to build a foundation for an alternative route to space. Recent Program News

while any new flare up between the airship and aircraft industries will no longer directly affect us, we stand with C7 and the ASA, will help fight for better safety regulations to be re-established. We are saddened to see such squabbling result in the loss of life 🙁 🔄 0 ❤️ 1

against the ASA's advisement, during the C7/Airship Baron settlement in 2019 restrictions on pilot licensing were loosened. They are blaming Assembly for letting those gov't members with financial ties to the airship industry work to make fixed-wing flight less safe 🔄 0 ❤️ 1

sad news out of Sheltered Rock - a Deuce commuter flight crashed on landing, killing all 6 crew and passengers. To date this is the deadliest fixed wing aviation accident. This is already the 3rd aircraft crash this year and Air Safety Administration is calling foul 🔄 0 ❤️ 1

two possible additions are an air traffic control tower if commercial aircraft increases and a larger launch/mission control building if we succeed at increasing our number of long-term orbital missions, which won't all be able operate out of the Tracking Station 🔄 0 ❤️ 1

This year the only changes planned so far are to expand the Support Village for more on-campus housing 🔄 0 ❤️ 3 |
| The Civvie’s basic design serves as a proof of concept for the majority of fixed-wing aircraft that will follow. While airships provide a valuable service for mass transit cargo, the Civvie is meant to fill smaller roles, like science gathering, station patrols, weather monitoring, etc. It can only carry one kerbal but has a very long range of travel. we got in a few flights this year before the Genesis program was shuttered. Fixed-wing aircraft development remains alive with C7 Aerospace Division and missions like those previously flown by Cdr Val & Cpt Jeb are now handled by a growing pool of commercial aviators 🔄 0 ❤️ 7

quarterly aerial collection of pollen data around the KSC region has been carried out by a contract pilot using the Civvie previously operated by us. This will not show up in the Ops Tracker but we are glad that scientific research continues even w/o our direct involvement 🔄 0 ❤️ 2 |
| The Deuce is a multi-engine, multi-crew & passenger-capable aircraft that extends Genesis Program capability for ops below 4.5km (like the Civvie the Deuce’s cabin is not pressurized). The Deuce can lift bulkier loads than the Civvie but not much heavier, as it also weighs much more itself. Despite this, it can carry enough fuel to challenge the Civvie’s range. Recent Vessel News

today was the dedication & ground breaking ceremony for the 1st new surface colony in nearly 300 years! Narskeim (Nahr-sky-ehm) is derived from "open sky above" in kerbskrit. We are proud to have taken part in realizing this historic event, performing aerial surveys of the land 🔄 0 ❤️ 6 |
| The first true fixed-wing transport, this aircraft features low ground clearance for ramps to make it easier to load cargo into its spacious hold. Its name (pronounced DUM-lar) is derived from an ancient Kerbskrit tale about the 4 rivers of life – and this aircraft certainly can’t fly without its 4 massive engines. In order to fit into smaller hangars, it can fold the ends of its wings while landed. Recent Vessel News

Mk1-B capsule has undergone recovery trials while already on the ground/water, now it's time to drop it out the back of a Dhumla and test actual chute deployment and landing/splashdown. This is done late in testing since it runs the highest risk of damaging the capsule 🔄 0 ❤️ 3 |
